Zagorochoria is a most beautiful complex of villages in Pindos mountains, north-eastern from the city of Ioannina.

The word Zagori means "behind the mountains " and is one of the many nameland places in Greece.

Village Kipi or Mbagia in Zagori / Zagorochoria, where hotel Melina is located, is abstains just 38 km from Ioannina city. “Mpagia” is a Slavic word and means “bath”. The village was called like that due to the impressive nature and the natural “pools” featured by the rivers around the it.

Mpagia or Kipi is the only village that is built amphitheatrically in a slope. So the travaller can admire all the region just with a glance.

Hotel Melina is a new-built stone made tree-floors building, found at the entrance of village Kipi in Zagori. Our main goal was to combine the traditional local architecture of Zagorochoria with the comfort and luxury of a modern residence.

The carven ceilings, the hade-made dome lights, the painted fireplaces and walls match harmoniously with the excellent furniture, the vivid colors and the modern bathrooms with hydromassage and Jacuzzi.

The local tourist authority ranked our hotel among the best five guesthouses of Ioannina prefecture.
